Hotel occupancy rates during major events Sydney, Australia 2023-2024
Throughout 2023, several events across the city of Sydney caused hotel occupancy rates to increase as visitors flooded to take part in events such as Sydney WorldPride, Vivid Sydney, and the FIFA Women's World Cup. During Sydney WorldPride, which took place during February and March of 2023, the average hotel occupancy rate in the city stood at around 82 percent. In comparison, in February 2024, the average hotel occupancy rate in Sydney soared to over 86 percent as the city welcomed the Taylor Swift Eras Tour.
