ICT devices: household penetration rate in Germany 2014-2022

This statistic shows the penetration rate of selected information and communications technology (ICT) devices among private households in Germany from 2014 to 2022. In 2022, roughly 85.2 percent of German households owned at least one mobile personal computer.

The LWR survey did not take place in 2013 and 2018.

The source adds the following information: "Private household equipment, excluding households of self-employed or farmers and households with a monthly household net income of 17,895 euros (from 2002: 18,000 euros) and above."
The source makes the following remarks about the EVS: “Private households at the place of the main residence whose monthly net income amounts to less than 18,000 euros. Generally, those without a permanent address (homeless people) and people in communal accommodation and institutions are not included in the survey.”
The cutoff date is January 1 of each year.
