This statistic shows the acceptance and attendance rates of freshmen at first-choice colleges in the United States in 2016, by student generation. In 2016, about 74 percent of the first-generation students were accepted to their first-choice college; however, the attendance rate of first-choice college by first-generation students was 52.9 percent in the United States.
