Gender pay gap of museums and galleries in the UK 2021-2022
As of April 5, 2022, women employed by the Natural History Museum in London reported a lower median hourly pay than their men colleagues, at roughly minus eight percent. That means that women working for that cultural organization earned approximately 92 pence for every pound earned by men. By contrast, women employed by the British Museum recorded a nine percent higher median hourly wage than men.
