Canada: branch banking usage 2023

Branch banking usage decreased but remained relatively high between 2019 and 2023 among bank account holders in Canada. According to Statista's Consumer Insights, the share of bank account holders who processed banking affairs in person in a branch was 42 percent in 2023, six percentage points lower than in the first half of 2019. Branch banking usage was even higher in the U.S. during the same period, where almost half of all respondents still processed banking matters in person in 2023.
