Amazon: most profitable sellers by category 2022

A 2022 survey found that two product categories on Amazon ranked as the most profitable for sellers worldwide. This was the beauty and personal care category, along with the home and kitchen category. Clothing, shoes, and jewelry followed, with 27 percent of sellers.

* The survey included more than 2,000 Amazon sellers, both prospective and former sellers. The respondents came from 78 countries, active on 20 Amazon marketplaces. The sellers had at least one live product listing on Amazon. Among them, there were both first-party and third-party sellers who earn two million dollars or less in annual e-commerce revenue.

Top ten most-profitable categories for sellers were chosen for this statistic. Sellers often sell in multiple categories.
