The digital banking industry in the United States had by far the largest value of net interest income in the world in 2023. According to Statista Financial Market Insights, the net interest income of digital banks in the U.S. exceeded 151 billion U.S. dollars. It was followed by the United Kingdom, where the net interest income of digital banks was slightly more than 99 billion U.S. dollars.
