Taking along a reusable shopping bag was the leading sustainable habit consumers in Japan adapted to. According to a survey conducted in August 2023, almost 74 percent of respondents stated that they used reusable bags during shopping. Separating waste to ensure recycling followed in second place, practiced by 57 percent of respondents.
