The e-commerce market includes sale of physical goods via a digital sales channel to private consumers (B2C). The study includes data on purchases via desktop computer (incl. notebooks; laptops) and mobile devices (i.e. smartphones; tablets). Not included are digitally distributed service providers (see: e-services), digitally sold good in B2B markets as well as the digital acquisition and resale of used, repaired or damaged goods (re-commerce; C2C).
The e-commerce market is divided into the following segments: fashion; electronics & media; groceries & drugstores; furniture & household; toys, hobby & DIY.
