This statistic displays the change in the shop floor area of supermarket chains in the Netherlands in 2018, by chain (in square meters). Coop, which saw an increase of 20 sales points in 2017, increased its shop floor area by over 30,000 square meters that year. This is twice as much as runner-up Jumbo, which saw a growth of roughly 14,000 square meters in 2017. At the other end of the spectrum, Emté's shop floor area decreased by nearly 3,000 square meters in 2017.
