Brazil: per capita consumption of fruits and vegetables 2002-2018, by type

Between 2017 and 2018, the most consumed commodity from a selection of fresh products in Brazil was banana, with a total of seven kilograms per capita. Beans followed, with nearly six kilograms consumed per person. Since 2002, however, the per capita consumption of this staple in Brazilian food decreased by more than 50 percent.
