From 2015 through 2022, the population with access to safely managed drinking water services in Bhutan increased by 26 percentage points. On the other hand, safe drinking water accessibility in Nepal dropped nine percentage points during the same period of time. Altogether, about 73 percent of the world's population had access to safely managed drinking water services in 2022.
