Out-of-home advertising
In 2019, out-of-home (OOH) ad revenue grew by roughly five percent compared to the previous year. By 2022, U.S. OOH revenue is projected to increase at a slower rate, namely 3.3 percent. Out-of-home ad spending is still expected to increase in the coming years. Between 2019 and 2023, OOH advertising spending in the United States is predicted to grow by roughly 1.3 billion U.S. dollars. The leading outdoor ad spending category in the United States was the “miscellaneous services and amusements” category, which spent almost 1.9 billion U.S. dollars in 2018. Other categories among the top ten included retail, media and advertising, and restaurants.On a global scale, outdoor advertising accounted for roughly six and a half percent of all ad expenditures in 2018 . Almost 45 percent of all ad spending went to internet advertising, which was by far the most popular medium that year.

In 2019, out-of-home (OOH) ad revenue grew by roughly five percent compared to the previous year. By 2022, U.S. OOH revenue is projected to increase at a slower rate, namely 3.3 percent. Out-of-home ad spending is still expected to increase in the coming years.
